Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

I nabbed these from my parents’ empty house before my sisters clear everything out. My mother bought them in the 70s. A bit of research and it seems that they’re #Embroidered #CigaretteCards from the 1930s!

The Telegraph is worried that feeding themselves is a blue tit's personal responsibility and that feeding the creates dependency, removing the incentive for birds to work and improve themselves, and thus perpetuate the problem of hunger amongst blue tits

The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

1/5 It was entirely predictable that The Telegraph would jump on @DavidOlusoga’s Empire series to fight its right wing culture war for control of our public history. Let’s see what they’ve done:

Art history A-level is extinct in Scotland and Wales and nearly extinct in England. The UK has the third-biggest art market in the world ($11bn-ish), if you need a business case to prove its value.

Funnily enough, both my grandmothers divorced both my grandfathers! And the one I remember had a lovely time aftewards!
Do you have a divorce in your family tree? Historically, Britain's divorce laws were complex and usually biased against women. However, some couples did obtain a divorce. Here's how to find your ancestors' divorce records:

some of the budget reaction says that if people get a pay rise it pushes inflation up and ruins businesses.
But, curiously, this apparently obvious law of economics only applies to the poor and the young.
Better-off and older people can get richer without any problem at all.
