Have you ever been to Richmond? I used to go there once or twice a month for work. It is the most inexplicably laid out city I’ve ever seen.

But I do know where the beeping is coming from. I just don’t know how to get the kids to stop trying to get into the Secret Fun Closet of Mystery.

I write about a world that’s even shittier somehow. It doesn’t improve this one, but at least I can punish the shitty characters if I so choose.

I would definitely ask Milf. Yes, we have a character named Milf (it’s short for Milfington). He’s bad at most things because he’s recently human, so he wouldn’t have great advice, but he always has mustard, and that’s what I really need.

Pepper is incredibly impatient with anybody he doesn’t like, which is nearly everyone. He also has a vendetta against mustard.

No coincidence that this is the least interested I’ve been in their product in the last five years.

We definitely have a diversity of characters!

Pepper would maybe do anything if it meant he could hear mariachi music.

Levi Ostrander would be very tempted at the prospect of having his sister back, by any means necessary.

Arnold Fiff is tempted by a nice pair of khaki pants.

And Blake would actually destroy an entire world to get home.

I’ve never thought about any of my characters through that lens, and it’s never impacted how I write them. Though we do have an upcoming idea about a couple people investigating a murder at a nudist resort, could be ripe to explore such things… 🤔

Is…is that something people write about? It’s never come up in anything I’ve written.

Honestly, I would just steer into that skid. English is the best language for pioneering whole new made-up words because it’s already so replete with garbage nonsense.
