I have mostly moved over to Figma. 🤷‍♂️

It's not a direct replacement but has the added benefit of it's where a lot of my actual designs I work with are so more familiar with the layout and stuff.

I wasn't able to get the color data from the glb to transfer through to the slicer no matter how I translated - even using obj w/ mtl.

It was relatively easy to repaint BUT I'd love to find a way to get the color data directly from source.

I downloaded the GLB from Trellis and converted it to STL (could also be converted to 3mf).

You can use Blender and export to STL (or 3mf with a plugin ) or an online tool like imagetostl.com/convert/file...

Next, I used Trellis to convert the image to a 3d model. This library takes a flat image and impressively converts it to a 3d model. huggingface.co/spaces/Jeffr...

I started out using Flux replicate.com/black-forest...

I used "Video game concept art pure white background" as part of the prompt. I've since found that saying bright green background may work well too.

Kind of. I think a lot of the people hyping AI are building silly things. I think there are quite a few people quietly plugging away letting AI do the boring stuff while focusing on the more complex / unique parts of their app and are seeing a benefit there.
