Tell you what no sugar and caffeine have deffs changed my mood and focus. I feel alert and more focused, I’m not tweaked out or depressed. The benefit of not eating crap at work.

Well my case officer doesn’t want me to be sitting all day at work after I’ve had surgery on the torn ligament. So I’ll be working limited hours a day so I’m not sitting all day.

Plus it’s not good to hear that your team is struggling cause you’re off work. Confirmed some suspicions I’ve had for a long while. I was the useful mule that handled everything, since I’m off things are falling apart and not being done.

Sugar and caffeine withdrawals are the worst. Since being off work due my injury I’ve completely stopped drinking coffee each morning and eating sugar loaded snacks during the day at work. The headaches and cravings are painful, but should’ve expected this.

Nic Cage has been on a role with a few movies of late. I feel he stole the show in Longlegs and in the Color from Outer Space he played the father slowly going mad brilliantly.

Already familiar with the corpo wars. The difference was the movies handle that subject subtly. You knew why Wey-Yu was after the Xenomorph, instead of direct drama they could’ve worked in corporate espionage which Wey-Yu was notorious for.

Alien: Earth a few hits that matched the Alien franchise but there were a lot of misses. Too much focus on T.Occulus and scenes/themes of horror did not sit long enough to have an effect. The stand out character was Kirsh who is played by Timothy Olyphant, he nailed the unerving android perfectly.

Spoiler warning: they alter the memories of one of the hybrids to remove their trauma… then couldn’t they technically make the hybrids grow up by altering their memory or code? Ghost in the Shell explored this concept with the Puppet Master in ‘96.

My nephew is enjoying the science and biology of the Xenomorph. And now I’m being bombard with “so if a facehugger infects a *insert animal* would they get traits from the host?”

I never thought I had to give a biology lesson about the Xenomorph to my nephew. He was over sick and I’m resting my torn ligament. Had to explain what Hermaphrodite is and why Ridley Scott confirmed that is what they are more likened too. Gave him my Wey-Yu field guide to read.

I also like how the suit is based off old diving suits and the sarcophagus is based on a diving bell. They really have learnt a lot from Silent Hill 2 remake.
