Today I got to guest lecture and teach a class of journalism students who asked such thoughtful questions. The Survivors for Trauma-Informed Ethical Standards in Human Trafficking Journalism curriculum was developed by survivors and we’re excited to do a more formal launch in January
The students’ feedback was that they wanted my guest lecture to be longer. Definitely the highest praise possible from undergrads 🥹
I know other countries have better parental leave than the US but are there any countries that have taxpayer-funded retreat centers and 6 months of paid leave after you’ve been sexually assaulted

Posting this from months ago because we DO have homegrown experience with autocratic regimes in this country.
In nearly half this country during the first 6 decades of the 20th century Black people lived under systems of cruelty, voter suppression, hate, state violence & corruption. Ask them!
