Carnation Beta Fish is officially finished! This painting was a real challenge for me. It took me over a year to complete, as my brain needed time to let it sit and think about it. I'm so glad it's done!

One more step to go on this painting, which is to varnish it. It has subtle earth tones paired with gold and white. It's really stunning in person. I wish you all could see it in person!

Today I made a big leap forward and have almost completed this painting. The trick will be photographing the iridescent bits in the centers of some of the bubbles. I may have to take a short video to really show it off. 😁

I did a lot today, including finishing 9 smaller paintings (5x7" 8x8" 8x10"), framing 2 of them, reframing the big 24x36" painting, and photographing and editing all of them. I'll be showing all of them off soon.

We went on a dog walk tonight and saw the space x launch from Vandenberg. It was pretty cool to watch, if not a little disconcerting at first. Good thing we pay attention to science and figured out that's what it was. We got to talk to our neighbor and her son about it.

It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. Today I framed a 24x36" painting, then hung it on the wall to get a photo. Before I could even grab the camera, the bottom of the frame broke free and the whole thing crashed to the floor. Oh, the excitement of being an artist!

First Look!
I just completed this butterfly and bubbles painting.
The pour looked like butterflies, so I took my cue from the background paint itself.

Just 3 girls resting on the couch watching a K Drama. Molly did a very good job staying still while Mochi jumped up on the back of the couch then settled. Molly sometimes tries to nip at her when she moves too fast. This was well done by both of them.
