The details on the ground made this fun. 2/6.

"Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me ... right here."

Do you think the photographer was maybe channeling Arnold Newman's portrait of Alfred Krupp?

Swap out the heavy industry and add *magic beads* and it kind of echoes.

An interesting location with a mix of clues. 1/6.
Not been there, but been either side of it.

It's probably what the photographer had in mind, too.
There's precedent!
November 19, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Cheers. And here's the guy who shot it.

It's very good. My dad went through endless cameras during the war though he favoured the efficiency of 35mm, often as not on German Agfa films. Here, as Flt Lt, taken by his Sqn Ldr NZ colleague in Intelligence, in Khartoum, Feb, 1940. Hamming to camera just to fill some time off.

This is your selection, Boulet, and it's brilliant, but ... I have to add ...
November 15, 2025 at 6:58 PM
It's nice that it's easy to organise and get done. I've done this one for quite a few years.

2018 was a good year.

These tools are not electronic and, come the apocalypse/switch off, I will be able to carry on creating.
November 9, 2025 at 6:21 PM
OMG, copper of course.

The only cover I have with a car, but the album has long been a favourite.
November 8, 2025 at 8:23 PM
It's a very tightly filled area so I wouldn't even try without the map. Still, one little old temple (possibly) made it interesting. 2/6.
November 8, 2025 at 10:40 AM
Figuring it all out is definitely a big part of the fun.
November 6, 2025 at 8:41 PM
All that for just a little photo op.

(At the time I wondered how many hundreds of frames were shot before they chose this one.)

Seasonable, but from nineteen seasons ago.

Swansea, Wales, 2006.
Retina II, Superia 200.

1/6.
Because that church was exactly where I expected it to be.
October 29, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Seems like a real blind spot.
October 28, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Sigh ... what we have lost.
October 27, 2025 at 6:07 PM
I'd have been embarassed had I failed on my 100th round, though tbh, this is actually a suburb of the city and not the usual 'city centre'. But, there are unmistakeable signs to look out for of architecture across the centuries. So, nice.
October 23, 2025 at 8:44 AM
Yeah, NOBODY ... as he said.
October 20, 2025 at 5:16 PM
I didn't know they tried to make one. A case of ... better stick with the short story.
October 18, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Indeed. In a busy medieval piazza, full of photographic opportunities, this painter had set up his easel to make good use of the light and fresh air to create ... rural landscapes.
October 17, 2025 at 3:17 PM
Such a neat city centre, but guesswork nonetheless. 1/6.
