People taking the money and leaving are not allowed to just come back in. They have to apply again for a visa and can face a 3-10 year ban on applying. Asylum claims are not being processed and current ones are revoked so these people are being deported.

She was probably here legally but knows that until your case is heard and you are either given citizenship or permanent residence, they can cancel your status and deport you at any time. It takes years. Many of the people they are picking up are having their status revoked so they can deport them.

They cut funding for veterans mental health so the shutdown isn't the biggest problem. Funding won't be there when it opens either.

If they released the Biden funding they froze, it would help. Many farmers have loans for these programs and can't get the money to pay them off.

Just remember who gave birth to and raised and taught all these "tough" men. Women ran the house while doing so. Many balanced the budget, organized, managed scheduling and were the referee and emotional support for everyone. They are underrated and fully capable.
