also something to note - you mentioned that you'd rearranged some of these graphics
I think the little E shape represents the upper-left corner of 果, which appears later
and the upper-left corner of プ seems to have been sandwiched in with ー
rearranging these in gives you a nice even 256-tile block

Development is going pretty smoothly so far!
Just finished prototyping all the hole maps for the front 9
I'll be cleaning these up and implementing most of the remaining features before I continue with course design
