I see this as a plus not a minus these days. We now have a new trope of character who will do the stupidest thing possible just because some snowflake told them they shouldn't because it is dangerous and god damn if we all don't have that uncle or co-worker.
Working on an outline and trying to avoid the "character doing stupid thing that puts the group in danger" trope cause no one would be that stupid but then I have to remember what world I'm living in and accept that yes, there are people who would be that stupid.
