Natural settings are good for the soul but it may be that "green" is not exactly the right measure. Check out @alanjfossa's dissertation paper that looks at how climate region influences these relationships with depression! Nice job Alan!!

Though there was some evidence of an increased risk of stroke with greater long-term air pollution levels, this pathway couldn't explain the increased risks of dementia that we observed in the cohort. Similarly, there was no evidence of mediation by HTN. ...

I was impressed by this sign at the Danish Design museum. Seems that there are some good life lessons in there for many of us in the environmental health field as well.

The bike use and infrastructure of the Netherlands always impresses me. With all of the direct and indirect health benefits of biking, I can't help but wonder, what would it take to move the needle towards this culture and urban design in the US?

@EPA's replacement of old school buses with newer, cleaner buses reduced absenteeism. Removing the oldest buses from the fleet could put 1.3M more kids in school. Read more about this natural experiment led by @MeredithPedde @umichsph in @naturesustainab. http://shorturl.at/txD37

Nerd happiness is when life randomly takes you past the same parking lot in rural Wyoming where you collected a noise sample 3 years ago and you have your instrument on you for a replicate sample!
