- Overall prevalence of B. burgdorferi s.l. was 5.8%
- Ixodes ricinus density was higher in woodlands and where deer were present
- The density of infected nymphs was highest in north and south of England.

We surveyed 84 sites across 36 recreational areas in England and Wales and assessed tick density and Lyme disease hazard in 2021-2023.
