New intro post! I'm Sarah, an illustrator, comics artist and designer in Chicago and I love to draw food. I've illustrated a few comic book cookbooks (Let's Make Dumplings!, Let's Make Ramen!, Let's Make Bread!) and I would love do more!

While I was away my copy of @davidwondrich.bsky.social and @deankotz.bsky.social ‘s Comic Book History of the Cocktail arrived! I’m only just getting a chance to flip through it but it’s a gorgeous book, and thorough! With tons of recipes, too!

Me: Make my own noodles? That's too much work. Waaaaah. Boohoo. 👶

Also me: time to roll ~200 dumpling wrappers 💪

I am home in Chicago now but I would like to share this excellent flier I found in Yerevan.
A weathered telephone poll flier that reads “stop using ChatGPT, grammar, tellper, if you don’t want to REGRESS”

BAH I meant she does the Lincoln Park Green City. I think Avondale Green City is winter only?

AFAIK she does Logan Square and Green City Market semi-regularly, but I'm not sure she does any of the other markets. She sometimes says where she'll be on her instagram: www.instagram.com/orianas_orch...

If you find them!! Don't eat any part of the seeds or skin - it can really upset the stomach. And if you want to try saving the seeds, let me know, I have tips. ^_^

YES! Orianna's Orchard has them. She had her first batch this weekend at the Green City Market (but skipped the Logan Square one for some reason 🥲) She'll almost certainly have them for sale for the next 3-4 weeks. Sometimes at the end of the season she'll even have frozen ones.
