Have had workers in my house the past few days so a mirror was temporarily moved. My dog was intrigued (ignore the mess and fucked floors, it’s all a process)

It feels like everyone keeps avoiding Trump accountable, saying whatever particular venue it is in question is inappropriate. No one wants that hot potato, which inevitably means there are no repercussions for his actions. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/26/u...

And more food. Been mostly offline (feel like I’m saying that a lot), but I’m here.

Happy Halloween! And oldie that always makes me laugh

I love voting in Los Angeles. Ballots are mailed to all registered voters and can be returned via USPS, a drop box or a polling location, or one can vote in-person at *any* voting center in LA County. And one can sign up for texts and emails with updates on the ballot’s status.

More food. I think I’m going to take a nap

He was rescued from a backyard breeder. This is what he looked like then 😭

Yesterday was this old man’s (estimated) 15th birthday. He doesn’t move as well as he used to and poops more in the house than I’d like, but I’m grateful he has made it this long

4 more dishes with shiro miso! I think I either over-mixed the cookie batter or there was too much oil from the natural peanut butter so they deflated a bit and the tops didn’t crack like they was supposed to, and the sauce on the last pasta got a little gloopy because of when I added the Parmesan.

While there is the overt Lou Dobbs joke, pay attention to who is in the photo behind Salma Hayek in this 30 Rock clip. Got it right, aside from calling him sweet

Another reminder for when you feel like a fraud, the deputy director of ICE said "I absolutely think I'm qualified for the job. Because at the end of the day, what really makes anybody qualified for any job?" May make you simultaneously feel a bit better about yourself and worse about the country

I made sticky toffee pudding. Well sticky toffee pudding cupcakes. While a little bland themselves, let’s be real—they are merely a vehicle for the sauce.

I have been watching 30 Rock while working out and just watched “Subway Hero,” in which this line is featured. Kind of perfect, with Trump saying he wants to send US troops back to Afghanistan

Obviously this bit is about LA, but I do feel vindicated. Silver Lake Trader Joe’s, I will conquer you one day. Just no time soon

So Trump and his lawyers clearly don’t understand “actual malice,” but I do enjoy that he is suing the Nee York Times when Sullivan is oh so relevant

On a shiro miso kick (I know I can freeze it, but I do want to use as much of this container as I can before doing so). This definitely didn’t need any added salt, that was a mistake. But made this huge thing of gnocchi in case I have a bit of a COVID vaccine hangover

I am a Yankees fan. This is sickening

Food dump part 2

Food dump part 1. Been offline a lot due to life and recovering from my punctured lung.

Tacos #5. I added the same salsa (plus avocado) as tacos #1. First time working with jackfruit, didn’t hate it

Though one could note (without glee) that Charlie Kirk believes gun violence is inevitable and worthwhile in support of the Second Amendment. www.newsweek.com/charlie-kirk...

With Trump attending the men’s U.S. Open final, it is fitting that Rolex dropped their old ad about being “galvanized by the clamor of the arena.”
