This They Might Be Giants TONIGHT SHOW performance of "Birdhouse In Your Soul" from 1990 remains firmly lodged in my noggin thanks to the Tonight Show Band's full commitment and Doc Severinsen's incredible trumpeting... It took an already great song and made it transcendent.

My children have been so close to squabbling all day but they keep resolving their own issues. In a vacuum, this is wonderful news. In practice, it means I've been on edge for hours waiting for the meltdown to happen.

I'm working with football on in the background and appetizers. That makes it feel sufficiently Thanksgiving-y.
I was planning on studying while spending Thanksgiving by myself but I have Black Friday family commitments. So I have to do my part-time job instead. I REALLY don't want to. I was happy to study on Thanksgiving but I am super cranky about working.

If you ever want confirmation as to the wealth disparity and racial disparity of school districts, let your kid sign up for swimming. The team my son's team is swimming against is at least 4 times the size but has only a third of the amount of POC on the team. Last week's team was entirely white.

I see that some people are complaining about this but I don't really see how a spin-off, to a movie series, based on a musical, based on a book, based on a movie, that was based off of a book (which had 13 sequels and multiple film adaptations before the 1939 film version) is a bridge too far. 🤷🏻♀️

So, one of my more aggressive grade school bullies just tried to send me a Facebook message. He states how sorry he was and how his behavior has eaten him up over there he years. I haven't thought of this guy in at least 2 decades. It has put me in a very weird headspace
