Had the absolute pleasure of seeing James Cecil and two of his films: Light on East Anglia and Village in the Wheatfield at the Horkey event in Halesworth back in October. Both films a fabulous snapshot of bygone East Anglian life.

Sitting listening to the rain hammering down, listening and watching a blackbird on the garden fence who I think might be angrily twittering that ‘an umbrella might be useful you know and will this rain kindly stop as does not wish to grow webbed feet and be a duck’ #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours

After requesting my local library service purchase a few copies, I picked up my reserved copy this evening. Looking forward to heading to bed shortly to start reading
