You got it! Cyclamen flowers end up coiling and retracting back down to the ground. Once the capsules ripen, they pop open. The seeds come with a sugar coating so that ants will carry them off, nibble the coating, and then abandon them to sprout! 🌱🌎 #Invert

A few purple Cyclamen flowers rise from a fat, flat corm among the leaf litter. The rest of the flowers and leaves are still tiny buds. This is C. hederifolium, which is a fall bloomer. The seed pods are from C. coum, which blooms in spring.
