Here's what it boils down to: corporations are not people. We can pass a ballot initiative that will enshrine that fact in the Montana state constitution.

That’s why we’re taking a different approach.

Instead of using campaign finance law, we’re using corporation law to revoke corporations' political spending powers as non-human entities. And history is on our side, with two centuries of Supreme Court rulings working in our favor.

And because of that, this day, Veterans Day, should be more than gratitude. It should be an audit of promises kept and broken.

Officers swear a nearly identical oath. And nowhere does it say until discharge or until death. The promise is forever. The duty is eternal. That oath is eternal, even when the body isn’t.

No expiration date. No fine print. It’s not a contract — it’s a covenant.
