Not based in my home town, but parts of it (the motel scenes, and the parade) were partially or fully filmed in Cottage Grove, Oregon. That's the most interesting thing that ever happened there. Ever.

I really need to get out into nature this coming weekend. Take my wife and our two dogs, and hopefully make it into the mountains, to introduce our puppy to some snow. Little (70 pounds) bugger has never romped in snow, and he's part Husky, so that might be a war crime.

So I picked up 'The Keep" on Blu-ray from Vinegar Syndrome recently. Excellent 4k presentation of a sincerely f*cked-up horror film. I mean, I remember it from when it was first released, and I'd forgotten how weird it was. Just wish the studio hadn't carved it to sh*t.
