I think it’s worth discussing as a country whether or not the idea of “president” should continue. Objectively too much power has been accumulated over the last few years but especially in the last 12 months. Realistically speaking, we need to fully overhaul the entire system at this point. Hey artists and makers - if you’re seeing very few sales right now, please know that it’s not a reflection of your worth or skill. Across the board, not making back our table fees and expenses, and that’s really scary.

If you can, please shop small this season. We really need your support.

The only people I see who love AI tooling are:
- Managers.
- Inexperienced.

Anyone else can tell you there's no substitution for actually doing the work. Read the logs, test the procedure, validate the results. AI is an intern who is skimming from stack overflow's "question" section only.

Congress is attempting to fast track KOSA and more than a dozen bills that would restrict internet access, censor speech and increase surveillance under the guise of protecting children.

Committee hearings begin tomorrow.
Lawmakers to consider 19 bills for childproofing the internet
KOSA is back, along with more than a dozen other bills that will erode free speech and privacy in the name of protecting kids.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

I think expedition 33 is going to take GOTY (and deserves it). But my personal ranking this year in terms of maximum enjoyment and based on my desire to immediately replay it
1. Death Stranding 2: On the beach
2. Silksong
3. Expedition 33.

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

Remember - if you're financially in a position to do so, skip the #BlackFriday deals online from big companies and shop instead from small and local businesses.
The big guns don't need your money, but for small traders it can be what keeps them going into 2026, so support your community instead.
