The Scottish Society of Playwrights (SSP) develops and promotes the interests and craft of professional playwrights and playwriting within Scottish theatre.
Later, as Development Executive for BBC Scotland Drama, he supported many SSP members on TV writing projects, working with waspish humour, honed dramatic instincts and a warmth rarely found in TV drama departments.
