Here is a blurry photo of a Grizzly Bear that was feeding in a patch of berries near a hiking trail. It was between me and the parking lot. I backed up, skirted around the area bushwacking to give her space, and then carried on down the trail. She & cubs ate berries. No shots fired by either side.

I encountered this gorgeous blond black bear near Canmore. I stopped the car, took a picture from the safety of the car and drive on. It did bear things. No shots fired by either side. I reported the sighting and recorded the observation on iNaturalist.

Once I was fishing in the Kananaskis River and a Grizzly Bear walked right by me, not 30m away. It did not see me. Nothing happened. I reported it.
