I've picked up some awards over time but being a Capital Pride Hero is my favorite because I never, ever would have dreamt of it as a gay kid in rural Kentucky. I appreciate everyone who was a hero before me and everyone who has been a hero after, whether you received a trophy or not.

On the one hand, I’m a progressive who’s skeptical of the American military complex. On the other hand, my niece just graduated from the Air Force Academy and she’s a fuckin’ badass. And an example of why immigrants rock.

Decided to go old school writing my Virginia senators (Kaine and Warner), first thanking them for voting against that Trump/Musk continuing resolution, and second politely asking that they dump fucking Chuck Schumer already. I feel like I just put 1,000 EXP into my "grumpy old man" stat.
