Sweeny actually knows better, too. It's not quite like Kickstarter for him.

But yeah it's ....bleak.

I've been using steaming for so long that my mp3 library is wildly out of date for my tastes and I certainly don't have the $2-3 it would cost to buy the thousands of tracks I've saved on streaming platforms.

I'm going to switch to Qobuz at the very least but the goal is to pivot away more overall

I can't imagine being the kind of person who thinks about this at all beyond "Oh look at that, near" and perhaps followed by a more subtly thought "Gosh, I would never have the patience to maintain it. Mine would be so chipped."

A perfect experience. Ideal humor.

If the same thing happened to me I'd have felt obligated to buy it.

I have my childhood ray, thought it would be nice to get new ones that still have all the accessories

...and proton packs without broken off streams.

Which I did on purpose as a kid lol

Yeah that's what I thought.

I didn't find them locally when they were first related. Now I probably never going to try hard not to find them lol

Because I would open them for sure

These aren't for sale any more are they? It was a few years ago right?

I wanted to import this so badly as a kid and never did

Then it came out in the US and I never bought it

I know there are fan patches to restore certain pieces of content removed from the remaster (I guess they lost The branding rights for the car and for the Doritos ads) So maybe playing the original on PC is still the right way to go?
November 7, 2025 at 10:56 PM
I have the original release and the remaster, but I've never played the latter.

Do you have any opinions about the differing versions? Sometimes remasters kind of muddle visuals that were better in the original version, and I never played the remaster because I'm worried it's worse actually

Believe it or not, I think Spirits Unleashed is a pretty good job of this too -- Not in a story that matters but, playing against the computer and just doing the basic missions. Feels like just "going to work" as a Ghostbuster.

It's not the better game objectively but it's also pretty fun as a fan.
