Ngl I always do feel a degree of jealousy reading about almost any study or experiment in the old days where the extent of the ethics review appears to have been going "yeah I'm gonna try this and see what happens lol" and a bunch of other academics say "ok lol" while you all smoke indoors..

Damn that article is really cutting through. One of the most aggressive free birth advocates in that space who we quoted in Ep5 said reading extracts has "given her a lot of pause". Also admitted that she in fact went for ultrasounds at 24 weeks while loudly claiming she was doing "wild pregnancy" 😒

Yeah, even in her confession she's stipulating how it was a super *quick* ultrasound just covering the basics (as if everyone else is just getting them for fun lol). I have receipts going back years of her ranting and raving about women who sought any medical care at all "not trusting their bodies"!

(I feel a little about that assessment the way I do about Rod Dreher saying ChatGPT is communicating with a literal demon. Like it's not my reading but if it *were* true I can't really see how they'd do anything differently)
