With extensive international experience - from Oxford and Louvain to Tokyo and Oslo - Prof. Schmidt has provided research-based policy advice to ministries, research councils, universities, private sector stakeholders, and EU institutions.

She has been involved in a number of EU projects (ERIA, PRAGES, STAGES, EFFORTI, STEP-Change, STARBIOS, RESBIOS), served as an expert evaluator for EC & ERC, represented Denmark in the European RTD Evaluation Network &was appointed expert member to the Horizon 2020 Advisory Group on Gender.
