I barely have room to consider how much I should or shouldn't hate on the Court in light of the incandescent malice emanating from a White House that is asking them to let the exec not give food with the In Case of Trouble, Give People Food Fund.

There's some incredible "Yes, And..." play in this thread exploring the academic retrieval of the Historical Darth Vader.
Made me think of the imaginary Elden Ring strategies.
“Darth Vader” was an amalgamation of various Imperial Era generals and cyborgs that were combined in histories written centuries after the fact

Hat Guy 2: China was going to hit us with rare earth.
Woman in Red: What does that mean?

"The problem with the federal government is the concentration of corruption in the Executive Branch. Can we do something about that?"
The genie has heard our wish.

Breaking kayfabe: this is my favorite alt explanation for the elected queen since the idea that it's an allowance for a kid brought into an ongoing RPG who wanted to contribute but didn't grasp the intended flavor.

You could make an argument for leaving in unexpected dinosaur behaviors that's probably even stronger than Goat Sim's argument for leaving in bugs.

Between Target and FLGS is "A decent Barnes & Noble."

Yes, sure. I can't deny that there was some community in the Dantooine system that housed some order that we might as well call the "Jedi." What conclusions we extrapolate from that, I leave to my more imaginative colleagues.

The retrieval turn is nonsense. We can't even find a source that hasn't been meddled with by the Lucas editor. Show me a reference to a "Skywalker" w/out "I have a bad feeling about this" scribbled into the margins or accept that we are firstly scholars of oral tradition, not history. And that's ok!

People know this but still believe the Jedi existed based on the heresay of a revolutionary leader drawing support for her movement by appealing to the word of her brother, a disgraced hermit.

I know we need to be ever vigilant not to import our presuppositions, but think about it. We might want "the empire was shipping large quantities of medical supplies to a volcano" to suggest a supervillain volcano base, but the much more likely explanations are typo or some form of embezzlement.

The uninitiated think BlueSky is only the OP or maybe only the respondent. But like anywhere else on the Internet, truly most BlueSky users are Popehat in this scenario.

This is where I'm interested. Does the House actually get to any business? What's the next delay move on the Epstein vote? My guess is to just draw out the funding votes as much as possible.

"Now he can claim credit" is his primary move, just ahead of "Now he can deny responsibility."

It better.
That Senators are feckless I can almost take for granted. If their fecklessness can't even restore the status quo?

I played it before it lost official support.
It is good fun. Unfortunately I do not play TCG very much. Even for Netrunner, I only played standard starter decks that friends had.

I didn't like the ACA message because it felt dishonest about what was triggering the struggle and why it mattered.
I did not realize that Dem Senators were high on their own supply and actually thought their PR version of a reason had a chance.

I first heard about this from a wine snob at a wedding last night. Did something bring it up or is this just a bizarre coincidence?

Elitists need to stop trying to parse out what is and isn't a "real" video game.

It is on your page, yes, though I also only see the Quick Start when searching "Dragon Slayers."

It's not obvious to me how a coalition who makes a habit of doing this is able to prioritize anything, say, abortion reform vs. criminal justice reform. When the first principle is electability, who gets to pick the second principle, and how?

This might be why you picked it, but what Donald "80% floor support from Republicans" Trump wants to do for Nigeria is invade it. I suspect we can have a winning issue off of not doing that.

Man, I don't think about what Elon thinks about anything anymore. It may be naive but it's nice.
