It amazes me how the "anti-ism" crowd, who would lose their minds over racist, sexist, homophobic, & anti-trans language, have no issues spouting/suppoting vitriolic, ageist bs.

And when called on it, DEFEND that language.

The hypocrisy is stunning. #FuckAgeism.

The pictured, artistic shop window is a real Art Nouveau gem in Douai, France. Designed around 1904 by architect Albert Pèpe and known as "La maison Tournesol," it is today a protected historical monument.

5 years ago, we created a red card made entirely with urushi.
A real chip was embedded as well, but the project never took off due to lack of demand. 😅
Instead of applying urushi onto plastic, the card was built using the kanshitsu technique—urushi mixed with hemp cloth.

Matsuo Bashō’s haiku, “If you speak, your lips grow cold in the autumn wind,” captures the feeling of regret or loneliness that follows when we say something too directly.
A moment of honesty can feel as cold and sharp as the autumn air.

Why Ageism And Ableism Should Be Front And Center In Diversity, Equity And Inclusion Strategy
Age is rarely included in the DEI equation. And that means many employee cultures are not learning about the intersection of age across other dimensions of diversity, including ableism.

This susohiki represents a masterful fusion of textile art and theatrical culture from early 20th-century Japan. The garment showcases the yuzen painting technique, evident in the detailed portraits of kabuki actors that grace the lower portion of the kimono. 1912-1926, Japan

A LOT of them are just as happy to let people go hungry as Republicans are.

Not surprised actually.

If you're a film buff, I HIGHLY recommend this 4kHD "War of the Worlds" remaster. The surround sound is exceptional and the commentary really interesting. If you're interested in film history, and special effects before soulless CGI, you'll love it.

Some cool biographical info on Wells too.
