It looks like they had even more submissions than Fatales did, which is a lot of submissions for a 4 day event and probably why the acceptance rate is so low.

It's so much fun! When my adult voice started coming it at around 14 (yes, puberty affects all voices), I suddenly had this extremely loud monster in my throat. Luckily I had an amazing teacher who showed me my voice type had value and opera was a great use for it.

I wanted to be a professional opera singer for a couple years in highschool until I learned about the poor working conditions at small opera houses, particularly for women. I was part of a couple productions in undergrad though!

Finch is a fantastic app! I mostly use it to make sure I remember to take my meds (they're temporary for the next few months, so the habit isn't there), but it's also fun taking care of Piper 💜
