It's always a bold decision when WoW directs players back toward old expansions, which they have consistently made only the barest efforts to keep functional with each new systems redesign or stat squish or whatever

affected snobbery is like, the New Yorker's whole brand, of course they feel the need to do shit like this

You joke, but remember when Bethesda actually did sue them because they decided they owned the word "scrolls"? Don't you dare roll a piece of paper into a tube, that's Todd Howard's property now

Plus it's got the added benefit of no longer giving Conde Nast your money

Also really just glossing over the fact that his "comeback" started in Riyadh, as an invited guest of the Saudi royal family

On top of being impractical, unless it changed recently I don't think there's an official version of the Doctor Who writing. The cipher you can find around online is a fan project. In fact I don't think the writing used in the show is really a cipher at all, it's just arbitrary cool-looking designs

if they just keep buffing Chaos Reach 10%-20% every year forever, eventually it'll be the strongest super in the game

of the ones I've seen mentioned here, I think Celty from Durarara is marginal but probably counts, she's a full on headless horseman. and that mermaid movie trailer looks like it might have potential, though it doesn't appear to be available to watch anywhere yet bsky.app/profile/valo...

yeah Let the Right One In came to mind for me too, although I dunno if I'd count it just because it's so much more cynical than the examples

it really just shouldn't exist at all. it incentivizes the absolute worst of social media behavior

Ask yourself this: Do you want this to be the future of your anime watching experience, forever? If your answer is no, then act on it! If you are a journalist or anyone with a platform, talk about this! If you know such people, urge them to do so! Use my article as base! Now, before it's too late!

This is kind of a recurring white supremacist fixation. They really, really hate Haiti, and so they like to talk each other up online about how easy it'd be for a handful of random dudes to attack the whole country

I haven't switched yet, but if microsoft makes good on their stated aims to turn windows into an OS you have to yell at, out loud, and hope it feels like doing what you want, I'm going to have to. what they say they have planned is a million times worse than any linux jank

those numbers seem to come from Olbermann, and he's being really slimy with them. he doesn't say that's when they met, just that they were dating then. and he's talked about adopting a dog together when she was 19. I have to assume that he picked the numbers that look least bad for him, which yikes

to be fair, when one of them is a teenage runaway they probably do!

I just want to point out that he doesn't actually say she was 21 when they met. He just says she was 21 when they were dating, and hopes that you read it that way. And I can't help but think, if those ages aren't from when they started dating (and they aren't), they must be from when they broke up.
November 19, 2025 at 9:27 AM
nah he talks a lot about that particular dog. in fact, I stumbled across a special episode of that podcast he did for the 11th anniversary of when they adopted that dog together, and said episode is 2 years old now. so that was in 2012, when she was 19
November 19, 2025 at 9:16 AM
adjust that down to 19 tops. he's talked about them adopting a dog together in 2012
November 19, 2025 at 9:12 AM
He gives it away a few other places in that article too. He says they were "long broken up" when she broke into Corey Lewandowski's house, which happened when she was 25. So the 4 years they dated were clearly not 21-25. He talks about adopting a dog together, which was in 2012 when she was 19

Olbermann is being exceptionally weaselly with his words here. He says he and Nuzzi dated when they were 55 and 21, which is true. He does not say they *started* dating at 55 and 21, because that would be a lie, but he hopes that his audience will interpret it that way

gee, I wonder if the denomination founded specifically to excuse slavery will fold on this. I hope they surprise me, but I'm not holding my breath

It ought to get Vance an excommunication, though I doubt the church will actually go that far
