What in the Stripper-Grinch hell are these meant to be for?

I managed to actually finish a 🧶 project! A baby jumper to go with some cord trousers we found, for my newest nephew. I’m apparently trying to dress the poor boy like a little old man as my thumb is still hovering over a little flat cap.
I’ll be buying him a whippet at some point.

The Velcro cat in question, a very fluffy, chubby tortie with white chin and paws in her favourite place - hammocked the blanket covered length of my legs with her head resting on my feet.

Many mouldy potatoes to be seen under railway bridges if folk really wanted to see them - they nest on the ledges created by the girders. So fuzzy, so cute.

There are fireworks going off in one of the gardens nearby, but something tells me my efforts to de-terrorize loud noises with the cats have paid off.

Our foot rest is broken so it took much of the morning to get the cat to lie on my legs up on the sofa, then far enough away that I could get my frame loom out and finally do some weaving.
I’m mostly pleased with the results. Need a squishier main weft colour. (Copied from an image on Pinterest).

Today I managed to get one coffee splash to cover three whole projects!
Including a pair of socks that I was almost enjoying. Uuuuuuugggghhhhhh.
A pair of socks (the cream coloured rib cuffs and about an inche of broken seed stitch pattern in the cream and a pink/green/purple variegated yarn) on bright pink barber cord. They are laid out on a teal coloured towel and surrounded by a tangle of yarn and various balls (dry yarn) and hanks (washed yarn) waiting to cause further disasters as soon as they’re moved.

I feel like Reece Shearsmith should be getting some plaudits for trying to bring big coats (and low cut shawl lapel waist coats, if that’s the correct name for them) back. Playing Taskmaster in a coat designed by the same maker as Withnails coat.

The intarsia in question. Yes I decided to do my first ever intarsia practice with mohair/doubled yarn. I celebrate my insanity.

It’s the Kitty Cat Tote pattern, but you can’t really tell that bc of the roly-poly-ness. Stockinette joys 🧶
The beginning inch or so of the front of the tote, showing the blue background colour and the bottoms of the orange and tabby brown coloured cats - and my dark purple painted nails where I’m attempting to stop the stockinette from rolling right up. The whole pieces, rolled into a sausage on the needles, but you can’t see the strands of colour blowing free and unrestrained. The yarn assortment of blue, cream and orange and the two handed cat colourways, brown tabby and calico, by Mothy and the Squid.

I finished the blue procrastinating Cardi - I’m not a fan of round necks normally, but I can’t say it wasn’t nice to have only short lengths of ribbing to bind off 😂

Kidding, I already started on Saturday when I had to wait in a coffee shop for a while 😁
A fluffy blue cardigan with a round neck and long sleeves hanging from a wall radiator. It is raglan shaped with lacework increases, but you can’t really tell because it’s not been blocked yet. No buttons as yet either, but hopefully soon! The back of the cardigan, in the same place.

Meanwhile - the ‘my weaving journey’ lowlights (in an effort to share the reality of crafting around)
The heddles needed washing and I did not tie them well enough 🤦‍♀️ and my shafts are a mess and I can’t find info on how to fix them 😂😭
A jumbled mass of white polyester string that will eventually become 400 texolve heddles (loops of string that go around the top and bottom of the shaft and hold the warp yarns so that they can be raised and lowered in the right pattern.) A photo of the heddles being organised by putting the end loops around two warping pegs (vertical sticks of wood) clamped to the front beam of my loom - so of course you can see the mess that is the different shafts in the background - leaning and listing and jumbled together with the pulleys at different heights and string everywhere.

It’s the Felix Cardi by Savoury Yarns and the 🧶 is Drops - Nepal and kid silk held together.
