The news has entirely failed to grasp the unprecedented scope of the ICE and DHS budgets. Nothing like it in modern history. A galaxy of public/private surveillance and caging institutions for $100,000,000,000s unleashed on a public that will be forever changed. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

Carolers raise their voices in a Home Depot parking lot in song. Their message to stop deportations gets attention, hits hard, & gets support.

If you are like me and can’t sing, join me in boycotting Home Depot & let them know helping ICE will cost them money. #WeAintBuyingIt

New Research: 1) Most family caregivers of disabled children do not complete an on-line mindfulness course, even with additional peer support, although completers benefit, 2) Adjunctive MBCT improves OCD better than usual care alone. and baseline functional connectivity predicts clinical outcome.

I can't tell you how many interviews I've done where I've been asked: If Trump's policies are so problematic, why are U.S. stocks rising so rapidly.

A bit of international context illustrates the real issue here.

U.S. stocks have dramatically underperformed other advanced economies.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Does the Speaker of the House know what's going on in the country?

It's not clear that he does, as Mike Johnson's communication strategy seems to rely heavily on being unaware.

When faced with questions he should be able to answer, he has a reliable response: "I don't know."
