"I'm gay" - leave your anti-queer/anti-trans bullshit at the door
"I'm from Lynn" - fuck with me and find out what that means
"I'm an atheist" - don't bring Zeus or Jesus into this

I am much more friendly than these three statements would suggest
I would have thought the US citizenship test asked questions about the three branches of government that make up our Republic. Or, perhaps Elon just got those questions wrong.

The daily horrors continue and demand our attention and resistance, but the most important question is this:

In my congressional district, who can win in 2026 and is also willing to stand up to Trump?

Went to the Feb 5 protest at the Missouri State Capitol. We didn't need a leader, a permit, or a bullhorn. We brought ourselves, our posters, our outrage, and our voices. Great feeling to be around Missouri folks who feel the same way about Trump as I do.

The only thing that has dropped in price this week is Trump's cryptocoin. #eggs #gas #groceries #isurance

I really couldn't figure out which Trump moves were distractions today. Maybe they all were.

Trump has introduced an immediate halt to all work on PEPFAR (the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, set up by George W Bush).
This includes the HIV treatment provided to 20 million people through PEPFAR, people who will die without treatment.
And many more will acquire HIV as a result.

Without #birthrightcitizenship most of us would not be citizens. Presidents can legally do many things by Executive Order. Overturning the constitution is not one of them.

As expected, the Day 1 Executive Orders contain an explicit attack on Transgender Identity and Transgender Youth.
Bigotry is not protection. Anita Bryant attacked gays and lesbians claiming she wanted to "Save Our Children." Trump claims he is "Defending Women" from trans folks.

It will take a year, but Trump has begun the process of the US withdrawing from the World Health Organization as one of his Day 1 Executive Orders.

Endangering the public health of not just the US, but the whole world.

#LeonardPeltier is free. That is the happy news in the churn of this dystopian day. Much too late. A commutation, not a pardon. But still, he will walk free on the land and under the sun once again. We must celebrate every victory.

Perhaps, we can find a common ground to save all our lives.

It is clear that many people currently in prison were "treated differently" by the criminal justice system because of their race, gender identity, national origin, or sexual identity. Where are their pardons?

One Life, a film based on the true story of Nicholas Winton and children's Prague refugee trains is now streaming for free on Kanopy. Important story about average people doing extraordinary things. Important lessons about refugees. Great reason to sign up for Kanopy through your
local library.

When I listen to Far-Right pundits talk about things, it makes me sad. They often correctly identify problems in housing, healthcare, employment, education, economics, etc. but then only offer solutions that will worsen those problems.

On social issues, though, they are just wrong on both.

I have spent the past six months studying social health. Robust social health increases our ability to recover. The next few years offer an amazing opportunity for all of us to build relationships and social networks to strengthen our social health because there will surely be much to recover from.
