My prototype cards for the Break Fast Tournament. Sure I don’t know who prints transparent tarot cards, but that’s a problem for another day. I love my goofy Sausiers 🎲✂️

After many attempts, the Break Fast prototype has finally been approved to proceed past the friend test level. What an exciting time!

I get confused as it always seems like there are so many mixed signals. Joblessness is down but so is participation at least compared to pre covid. Is this AI efficiency?

Update on that Covid crash vs now chart…

Fun odd similarity, Feb 2020 and 2025 exhibit similar odd gappy/jumpy index action. Crashes only occur after options expiration… like today. Extremely low odds, but still interesting

I will always love these types of games that have deck boxes and specialty character stat sheets to display character traits.

I think I felt the most crazy because the Iconoclsh symbol is an "i" and not an "!"

The Player turn is simply move twice, play two action cards. However, starting out, you’ll spend a lot of time in the rulebook. Mainly because of weird things that would occur in Smash, but must be done via operation in real life. Example, what happens if you throw an opponent into a wall?
January 1, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Each character has 20 cards and 1 basic (oddly no rule book states the number of these cards so maybe its character dependent in other boxes). Depending on the character, each can have various levels of duplicates. One character has 3-4 of the same card while another had no repeats.

To be fair, when its your turn, you are only looking for attack symbols. You ignore all defense unless you are being attacked. Also, most decks typically won’t have a lot of defense cards.

his is where I feel like I spent most of my time staring. This combined with a 2D board and figuring out where characters are. Now just do that with 8 cards in your hand. This could lead to a lot of mental crunch.
January 1, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Card types are either attack or defense, and defense can only be used when attacked.

You must make an attack even if you can’t hit. Each card has 3 possible sub actions you can take. This can be anything from extending the range of the attack, movement, or powering up future attacks.

The stage gets an update or item at the start of every players turn. On a player’s turn, movement is done via two free moves (orthogonal or diagonal… with rules about soft landings or impassable walls). The weirdness comes in with actions. You MUST take two actions per turns.
