One of the most surprising parts of my journey to low% all metroid games is learning Dread is the most broken game since Super.
It's a picture of text, too much text to fit into alt text, so here's the important part: When GameTime gets too big, it starts to lose the ability to represent the game time in a precise manner. This means that it won't actually increase by 1/60th of a second every frame, but might get rounded to the nearest number it can represent. Changes in timer precision occur when GameTime hits certain times: At 4.5 hours IGT (In-Game Time) from first game load: The clock now runs ~5% faster, the missile fire rate changes to 1.05x of the default. At 9.1 hours IGT from first game load: The clock now runs ~6% slower, the missile fire rate changes to 0.94x of the default. At 72.8 hours IGT from first game load: The clock now runs ~87.5% faster, the missile fire rate changes to 1.875x of the default. (Hyper Mode) At 6 days, 1 hour, 38 minutes IGT from first game load: at this point, the smallest interval of time that the clock can represent at this point is longer than the duration of two frames at 60Hz. This means that the game will try to add one frame's duration to the timer, but the change simply gets rounded down to where it was before. The game's clock is effectively frozen, the missile fire rate changes to 0, as well as everything else that depends on the timer, making it impossible to meaningfully play the game.

Pokemon Discord with one of the most real posts I've read in a while.
Competition easily becomes complacent, and even those who are winning can easily tunnel vision on preserving the success that is behind them, never considering if what's good enough today is good enough tomorrow. Those who are new and hunger have never mentally determined a "good enough", and those who are the true best never assume the them of today can stay the same yet still win the same in a different future. People rising up through the ranks quickly have never fallen into this complacency that even high level players can, but it's a plague in mid and lower level ranks, and then those who are at the top even among those top players either possess that winning mentality while they don't, or pursue it in a unique way, either in method or thought process, which is often seen as their gift instead of dedication, effort and time being expended however passive it is

I really enjoy how fleshed out teambuilding ideas are in the gen 2 discord. I find there are similarities with it and Splatoon 3 where giving the enemy free space allows them to become seemingly immortal, so it's interesting to see how it's approached here and think about how it can apply to Splat 3
AkaDefos — Yesterday at 1:47 PM if i was to add synergy to the teams how what should i do thejorg — Today at 12:03 PM classic example: thunder zapdos + cloyster + gengar. Cloyster lays spikes, which helps gengar kill raikous and zapdos to kill snorlax. gengar kills raikou, which lets cloy do something else with its explosion & opens things up for zapdos. zapdos can para raikou to open the door for gengar/cloy to kill it. note how nobody’s a diva who eats all the support. Everyone on the team has a path to make everyone else’s life easier. That’s what (offensive) synergy is. Defensive synergy, meanwhile, is mostly just making sure you aren’t too weak to any one thing and have redundant plans for most things. With more redundancy for the common stuff like Snorlax, of course. That’s the easier concept to grasp imo, just look at a threatlist and make sure your team wouldn’t go “oh shit” if it saw anything there.

I think the devs made an oopsie poopsie with the params and Decavitator charged slash is supposed to have more white ink frames.
