On the Monday following this day, 83 years ago, my father went to join the Navy following the attack on Pearl Harbor. He said he had to stand in a long line of men eager to defend their country. What happened to this kind of patriotism? To those who loved the Constitution enough to fight for it.

Happy Turkey day to all who celebrate. I am not feeling thankful at the moment considering the disaster that is our new government, but I plan to eat a lot of turkey and ham and try for a food coma.
