I dunno where they'd take it at this point and I dont really want a prequel. I think this is a good place to let the series end. It got 2 banger flicks and great actions scenes. That's cool as hell to go out on.

Don't get me wrong. she's still written extremely inconsistently and has a *bit* more depth than in the first one? but not much. she needed way more character depth for her to have the "Go Fix this shit" Moment, but I'm ok with it as a fun popcorn flick.

Alright, finishing Nobody 2, and my opinion has *slightly* turned around on the mom character. she literally had the chance to walk away and said "Nope, You're my guy, go fuckin fix this" (paraphrased) which I hope leads to her having an action scene.

watching Nobody 2 - There really does need to be a study on how people write emasculated white men, and the wives who fuckin hate them. cause jesus christ. she hates him when he's a schlubby dork, she hates him when he's a super murderer.

7️⃣It is interesting that it's something of a contrast to the main character. who seems happy, but is dour, and very obviously holding something back, the lead gangster seems joyful, and feels (or knows) he's the most dangerous mother fucker in that room.

6️⃣The Gangsters in this flick are amazing, their leader is no bullshit, but sings and dances on stage because he's that powerful, he gives no fucks about what others might think of him. great way to establish the bad guy is scary and powerful by subverting those things by making him dance and smile.

5️⃣This isn't a situation where he's a bad person, or even she's somehow just not into the marriage. she literally becomes actually excited by him when he begins to fight and kill again. that's fucking *weird* considering the movie considers him going back to his former life a failure state.

If she loved him, she'd stand by him, and she just *doesn't* and that's fucking gross. she *obviously* knows the secret of who he is, and just..cold shoulders him. wild.

3️⃣It displays his bad-assery without anyone telling you he's a badass. In fact up to that point, the only way you *know* he's something *weird* is the radio, and the dude seeing the tattoo and freaking out.

2️⃣the initial staging of the first gangster fight scene is fantastic. It tells a fantastic story about how strong the protag is, that he's a human (as opposed to John Wick, who's super human, effectively) He can lose a fight, but he knows how to deal with multiple assailants in *VERY* tight quarters

🧵rewatching Nobody, and after the inciting incident and such, to find the burglars kid is a baby on Oxygen. holy shit. I forgot about that.

Like..they laid it on thick that the original burglars were poor as shit. the staging of their home, the ramen dinner, the baby on Oxygen (so medical bills?)
