Hopefully you're not trying to drive across it. Born in CT and left after college. Going to New Haven for pizza is the Nutmeg State's lone redeeming feature. And this from someone willingly living in RI.

Isn't this what Kieth Richards used to do in Switzerland before the Stones would start a tour?

It's like an old Steve Martin bit "How to have a million dollars and not pay taxes": First, get a million dollars...

I said exactly this about the 2025!Mets for four months.

That's why I cut mine with Coke and/or Jim Beam.

Strep is something that can take off quickly and dangerously but is still easily treatable at its early stages with common antibiotics.

Best to not wait any longer than necessary.

Corollary: Extortion rackets don't care about poll numbers. @sarahkendzior.bsky.social has been on this at least since Trump came down the escalator.

Hence no social safety net? Also, my comment was meant to note why there could be more acceptance in Finland, the world's happiest country with a real social safety net, vs. the current hellhole that is the US, especially for gig economy workers.

And if they don't have something you want in stock, they can almost always order it and have it to you within a couple of days!

It would be less of a problem in a country with a real social safety net. That's not be US.

Extortion rackets don't care about approval ratings.

Remember, it's just one reason among many, including how much you care about the Mets. Before he went off the deep end, early blogger Mickey Kaus had a feature "I read it so you don't have to". Ever since I've liked the concept.

I've liked Britton since his Red Sox days. I'd read Laura Albanese but I can't justify a Newsday subscription living in RI.

This is one of the reasons I love The Mets Newsletter! When something like this happens, you can wade in and I never have to read Puma, DiComo, Martino, etc. or follow them on social media. Britton and Sammons are the only beats I read as I already pay for it.
