This part of the budget is bullshit though on first reading. Luxury goods should be taxed at higher proportions, not removed.

I also think this kind of change can be beneficial in the short term. Can't always be used, but now is the time to use these one time exceptions to capital assets. Won't change investments alone, but it may well help (won't hurt) based on the broader context.

I also have an Ioniq 5 and as a data nerd I did the calculations for how much I saved on gas. All in CAD, but on 60,000 km (~40k miles) we saved $6000 in two years. About 50% home charging and fast charging each.

Major update to tabev.org just released. Currency conversion was possible but had a few issues so it was not fully supported until now. Going into the profile and setting a currency, will now update all charging sessions (your original data is safe) to that new currency.

Also, after two years of ownership with our Ioniq 5 we probably saved $5000 CAD on ~50,000 km. I'm missing a few sessions, but only about $500 max.

Why did I make tabev.org? It was because I personally want to be able to know how much I have saved. Both the amount of money and emissions saved are a large part of owning an #EV. Having the data can also help convert people to EVs.
An early build, but improvements to data accuracy is next.

2024 was the year of the Dragon (Age). I had a blast returning to Thedas.

I finally, 10 months later, wrote about our first year with an EV (2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5). Lots of road trips in that first year (35,000 km total), with lots of money and emissions saved!

Interesting, looks good! I did something similar through this github.com/LeoDJ/FW-EC-...
It involved some minor soldering, since I ordered the PCB completed for me. I didn't want to bother doing the smaller components. It came out great and now I have one for my G305, and another for my M3S.

Absolutely loved playing Dragon Age Veilguard! The environments are stunning and the story was fantastic. I have my qualms, but overall it is likely my game of the year.
