These protests remind me of the college & HS walk outs and marches during Vietnam war. Though I couldn't attend from CA, Woodstock was one of the biggest peaceful protests ever.
Almost 1/2 million people were there for 3 days, led by giants in entertainment industry. (Beat that number felon)
