Also, he was still just a Mario enemy! Across all the Ultimate newcomers, nothing quite feels the same as those kind of weird oddball picks which I think are the best part of the Smash roster.

This is actually real, before 3rd party characters were a consistent expectation they were throwing so many more bizarre first party characters at us. ROB, Ice Climbers, Mr Game and Watch, Wii Fit Trainer. We got Piranha Plant in Ultimate but that felt like an exception rather than the norm now.

I just learned about this relatively recently (thanks to the fellow Topic Lords who pointed me in the direction of Insert Credit and by proxy the game), but having put in ~4 hours today already, it is truly a delight. I’m seriously not an RPG gal and yet it has sunk its hooks so deep in me already 💛

I swapped back in mid-September and I‘m sure it is better but I did start getting some truly crazy dreams the first night after injection. I don’t dream otherwise and it’s such a strange experience

This is part of the reason I objectively am trans but don’t really ascribe to that as an identity of mine. I’m a woman that is trans, not a trans woman, because especially among queer spaces I don’t want to deal with the expectations of that

The Demeter boon where you can heal by foraging is so good for this, because then there’s also a more immediate mechanical benefit for it. Picking flowers *should* make me better at the boss!

I’m just imagining a world where Bialek was still hosting and it makes me deeply sad. Jeopardy is my favorite show period and while the guest hosting was painful dealing with her for extended parts of full seasons was even worse.

The worst runbacks in the game are the short ones where it’s just a hallway! I would rather spend 45 seconds doing sick platforming (because god is it sick in this game) than walking through an empty room for 10 seconds

I’ve toyed with the idea of writing an essay about this, I didn’t start playing Pokemon until Sun/Moon so I have no nostalgia for the early games and yet when I play them there’s an undeniable difference. It’s such an incremental change too, unless you’re looking for it it’s pretty hard to see.
