I stand corrected. Council voted this bad idea down.

Though you voted for it.

I’ll be sure to remember that.

They know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

You’re charging kids bus fare. How is that increasing affordability?

He wants to charge fares for all kids? Or reduce the free fare age?

Could be in your settings. It plays in English for me.

Canadians now call him “chucklehead.”

It’s not a term of endearment.

What evidence is there that they were “trying not to disappoint” either driver?

Rather than building some elaborate case that blames “the papaya rules” why not just accept that this was just a colossally bad strategy call?

They should have pit under the SC. That’s it.
December 1, 2025 at 5:36 AM
A bad call. That’s it.

On Sky, both Lazenby and Brooks were pushing the “papaya rules” line, but not one of the many drivers and strategists on their crew agreed.

Some of these writers (Anderson, esp) should offer to be stewards. They seem highly qualified to judge the events on track out of all context and circumstance, rather than call things what they are: racing incidents.

McLaren made a bad strategy call. That’s it. Stop trying to make it anything more

I’m glad the chattering press have the papaya rules to talk about, so they don’t have to think too hard about what nonsense they’re spewing.

The gap to Alonso limited their options. Had they pitted much earlier they risked dropping them into the DRS train behind him.
December 1, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Sky presenters - specifically former strategist Bernie Collins - kicked around a few options. But the only thing that would have made up the lost pit stop time was if there was another safety car period before lap 31.

IOW - nothing that was in McLaren’s control.

He’s the greatest today.

He might even be better than Schumi.

But in my ranking, he’ll never be as good as Senna.

Canada 🇨🇦 doesn’t want him back. (And I’m guessing South Africa 🇿🇦 doesn’t either.)

While I appreciate that, I fear it may be his undoing.

Curious what that fight would consist of?

Because my take is that the only way to actually rid ourselves of this government is at an election.
November 28, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Indeed. And at the moment Nenshi is trying to me-too the UCP on the pipeline.

The conservative vote largely held in April. It was the NDP vote that collapsed, and the BQ in QC, in favour of the Liberals. If some of those voters go back…I see a very different outcome.
November 28, 2025 at 4:49 AM
Right. If things change they’ll be different.

Ummmm, k?
