The issue isn't that though. I've explored every area I have access to several times. The only places I have left to go are entrances that I can't go through because I'm progression locked and I don't know how to unlock it, or I'm straight up missing an item.

The game itself isn't even that difficult. I actually find it's difficulty and pacing quite manageable. Just every new path I look into that would lead somewhere is like "nope, big metal door" or "sorry bucko, you need a double jump for this one" or "dark energy is in the way here, go away"

In what feels like an ironic twist, I actually think I'm starting to dislike the original Hollow Knight. I'm feeling so lost in this game, and I've been running around for over 4 hours trying to find any semblance of progression, and every path seems to be the wrong answer or is inaccessible.
