Harmonized the art styles of some assets and colour graded them to fit the world.

Trying out different sizing, wanted some enormous assets like the tree to show some grandeur, but it looks nicer on my super wide screen monitor.

Color grading my assets and getting them to match the biome and each other.

2D doesn't have a lighting physics so alot of post processing needs to be done.

The ring was inspired by Stargate. And the monument from the Singapore war memorial.

The tree for different factions was inspired by the raintrees in my country and the babao tree.

I tried to choose trees which represent the different factions.

I didn't intentionally design this, somehow by shear luck the procedural generation created this landscape with "feng shui" elements.

Did some major changes to the UI, linguistics engine, combat system.

Combat now has 3 timers:

Busy - for the actual action,

Focus - for ability cooldowns,

Exhaustion - actions such move and attack

Directed dialogues styled like disco elysium

Added some wave motion to the waters via shaders. Also made is slightly translucent so that you can see the river bed

This is how I ended up splitting the head for female characterss.

The head includes the front and back hair and the ears.

Only the bangs and the back are separated.

But it gives quite a few combinations

This is my third iteration redoing my cutouts.

Making a composite equipment system that is able to mix and match was not as simple as I thought.

The trickiest parts were the arms and gloves boots and without boots as I need equipped vs unequipped gloves and boots.

Added a combat clock to show incombat status as well as cooldowns.

Trying to achieve a mix of neverwinter nights and dnd turn based without being too rigid. Movement only requires cooldown when incombat.

Had a real crash course in color theory and digital editing. Finally was able to implement a dye system including skin, hair and eye colors.

Using purely shaders and hue partitioning to create a dye system. Able to support 24 materials.
