I always get surprised when artists bring up really strange behavior from fans but then I have to remind myself I'm in a "my followers must have the patience and self-moderation to read something for a few minutes" bubble and that counts for a lot more than I give it credit for.

I've had to learn that being optimistic about life is like trench warfare. You need to hold your ground on the things you cherish about yourself and others and brace yourself for the long haul. Having a positive outlook doesn't mean feeling good all the time, it's about enduring the bad over time.
