The mayor and city council of Calgary actively promote population growth.

YYCCC view seems to be a combo of construction-jobs-are- sustainable (?) & property-tax- pyramid-scheme. So no big surprise.

Sonya Sharp in particular is pumped about gowing Calgary population. She's into sprawl.

The charity watchdog group Charity Intelligence Canada says the Calgary Flames charitable foundation is offside when it comes to transparency, its high fundraising costs and the amount it saves.

Flames Foundation:

Admin costs are 8% of revs (excluding investment income). Fundraising costs are 59% of donations. This results in total overhead spending of 67%. For every $ donated, 33 cents go to the cause.

That's a subtle way to undermine the regular folks who don't support this hair-brained scheme.
