Ys X platinum trophy is finished. Wonderful game. Not quite up to Ys VIII or Ys IX, but I still loved it. The ship exploration and combat was a great addition. If they decide to port Proud Nordics to PS5, I'd gladly play through it again.

Everyone should play Ys.

I wish I could get into the Trails games. Ys has so many good character moments and interactions. I'm sure Trails games probably do, too, but there is sooooooooo much boring exposition and sophomoric writing and dull combat that I can't get past in those games.

Did they originally plan this as a mobile game or something? This gacha character sucks. Spend 15 hours farming materials for the items you want, or 10 hours save-scumming the slot machine.

If you're comfortable using a DOS prompt, yt-dlp has been solid for me for ages, and can also pull videos from other sites. It's updated fairly quickly when Google tries to block it.

I'm having fun with Ys X. The ship segments are a nice change of pace.

Shining Force EXA is done. I liked it. Camera view kinda sucks, and you end up getting one-hit-KOed from off-screen enemies on occasion, but I had fun with it. The art style is great, and I love using the machine-gun crossbows.
