this was probably the only time i had a good go at DnD, under a GM who very explicitly was like "we're doing E6 low-fantasy so if someone has access to fireball that's practically a fucking nuke."

its like how most isekai anime slop just makes me think the writer isn't confident in showing their own worldbuilding, so they HAVE to filter it through an isekai lens.

seriously, the "carcinization of all games into DnD" is probably one of my biggest fucking triggers to set me off.

"Bluesky thinks trad elfgame fans are rpg MAGA" is a level of persecution complex I'm not sure anyone is qualified to fully untangle, but I will say it is definitely not inclining me to think any more favorably of the mercenary decision to run everything through the D&D Brand Content Extruder
