Jane Brekke of Sierra Club of Maine speaks to a gathering in the welcome center building at Wolfe's Neck Center. Beside her is a screen showing a photo of a loon with the caption "Protect What You Love!" Kathy Mikulka of Third Act Maine hugs Jane Brekke of the Sierra Club of Maine. Marcia Taylor of Third Act Maine stands next to them smiling and holding our Conservation Partner Award. A mason jar filled with flowers sits on the table in front of them and behind them, through the window can be seen the landscape of Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment in Freeport, Maine -trees, meadow and a glimpse of the ocean beyond. Eleven members of Third Act Maine pose for a group photo in front of the welcome center at Wolfe's Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment, in the front Kathy Mikulka holds our framed Conservation Partner Award. It is a gorgeous fall day on the coast of Maine. Flyer for Sierra Club of Maine's Annual Celebration, October 4, 2025 at Wolfe's Neck Center, Freeport, ME. Several resolutions which are set to be introduced to Congress on September 3rd would overturn 3 BLM resource management plans in key wilderness states.

This takes OUR voice away from future decisions for public lands. Send an email or make a call to ask your Representative to vote NO! 📳

As fall migration gets underway, millions of birds will be moving south through the state. Some will collide with glass windows, and we'd like your help in identifying which birds are dying, and which windows they're hitting.

Join an info session on Sept 4 at 12pm.

At a time when electricity prices are rising, it is unconscionable for the EPA to deny access to clean, cheap energy for those who can least afford it.

The Solar for All program was expected to generate $350 million in annual savings for low-income and disadvantaged households—and create 200K jobs.

As soon as tomorrow, House Republicans seek to overturn plans for protected lands in Montana and North Dakota, instead wanting to turn millions of acres of leases over for oil + gas drilling, and mining.

Contact your House Representative TODAY- tell them what the legacy of public lands mean to you!
