"Goldsteinberg" That name is such a racist dogwhistle I'm surprised it isn't a Harry Potter side character.

Are no websites safe? I get these randomly on deviantart, discord and now Bluesky every so often :/
God forbid you even mention the word commission and you get swarmed by dozens of accounts all giving you full "resumes" of art they've allegedly done. The scams are out of hand on art sites these days

I recommend my friend @tyrantisterror.bsky.social who has several published novels, who introduced me to DND/TTRPGs and is my regular DM for several games in their own setting.

Granted there's numerous ways to read film from multiple different perspectives and theories and sure you *could* read it from the language as right wing nationalism (the Godzilla fandom has its fair share of grifter and chuds) but it just *baffles* me how such a blatant message is missed.

Even the Monsterverse! The military makes things worse in every movie, it is such a hardline pro-ecological messages, pro LGBT messaging from the show, and invested interest in other cultures amongst other things! To think modern Godzilla *isnt* woke feels really off to me.

Which, feels pretty *leftist* to me. Granted its easy to be leftist in the fact of such extreme nationalist far-right politics as Imperial Japan, but still! And lets not even get started on Shin Godzilla, but yeah, it feels *very* disengenous to suggest modern Godzilla films are right wing. 6/6

Rejecting the duty of a nation and spitting in the face of the Japanese nationalist revisionist bushido principles that urged men to throw their lives away to stave off an inevitable defeat, instead everyone coming together, and ensuring everyone comes home. No more sacrifices. 5/6

A truly divine threat seemingly ripped straight from their folklore and mythology. A vengeful god harbinger a new dark age. Yet it is not through sacrifice or new superweapons or military bravado that beats Godzilla, but a community saying "nobody else is dying today" 4/6

Not governments or superpowers but individual families and communities. Minus One is about a people having no government to save them, no army, no foreign super power, a people at their lowest point coming to grips not only unprocessable grief... but their own culpability in it in the face of... 3/6

It promotes found family and being emotionally vulnerable and open about ones own trauma and self-forgiveness from a country that harped so much on honor or duty above all to the a point of self-martydom and at the end of the day, it is community, the people who save the day... 2/5

Godzilla Minus One is all about putting the bed the right-wing martyr complex to rest and that "sacrificing ones self for one's people/country" when pushed to extremes just leads to a continuing cycle of pain and misery from father to son is triumphant in the fact that no one else had to die. 1/6
